Chess wanted to increase their market share of their cloud PBX offering and support their sales teams with qualified leads. The wanted to activate a campaign that could reach both existing customers and prospects, addressing their needs and highlighting the benefits of a cloud PBX solution.

How Victoryworks Responded

Upon receiving the brief, Victoryworks pulled together a planning document outlining the campaign goals and objectives. This included a review of Chess’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and an agreed list of target accounts. The plan detailed the campaign roadmap of activities, channels, internal stakeholders, and resources required.

Throughout the planning phase, we engaged stakeholders and conducted sales interviews to gather on-the-ground insights from their sales teams. This allowed us to craft messaging that resonated with their customers. Creative concepts were then presented in advance of the launch to ensure alignment and effectiveness.

The campaign saw the launch of several key initiatives:

  • Buyer’s Guide: A 3,000-word guide to support consumer decisions, including a checklist for purchasing a Cloud PBX solution.
  • Cost Saving Calculator: A tool to outline cost savings businesses could achieve over 3 and 5 years with a Cloud Solution compared to traditional systems. Users could input their details and receive a monetary savings output.
  • Thought leadership content: Multiple articles optimised for organic search, featuring lead magnets to download additional resources and drive prospects down the campaign funnel.
The Results

The campaign ran across multiple channels, including – PPC, LinkedIn ads, email, and Chess’s owned social channels. The campaign resulted in 429 marketing qualified leads and 52 closed won deals attributed to the campaign. The campaign structure and process was a first for Chess, and provided them with a playbook to execute future campaigns.
